Event #12 Yokine parkrun

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning for another wonderful run, jog or walk! The results should be out - we had a super speedy first runner this morning who unfortunately forgot his barcode - but we can say congrats here, well done Scott Thomson on 17:00 run, great effort.

A special congrats to Brian Austin who sneakily ran his 50th event today - Well done!

An awesome effort by Erin Scales as well, dropping a giant TWO MINUTES off her PB today!

We had 13 brand new parkrunners come to Yokine parkrun today - we hope you had a great time and come back next week!

We are very grateful to the volunteers who made this event happen:Giada BUFARALE, Casey CAUSLEY, Giovanni DE VITA, Rebecca DUNSTAN, Adrian FABIANKOVITS, Paul KEOGH, Max SULEJMANI, Tracy SULEJMANI

Just some housekeeping - quite a few people forgot their barcodes today - Please make sure you bring them along so we can give you a time. We would all love to add your details in, but it is parkrun policy to not allow that, so we have to abide by that.

Finally - We are missing tokens 61 and 71 - any chance someone popped them in their pocket and forgot to hand them in? Please just drop us a line and we can sort out their return.

Happy 150 run & 100 volly Rachel!

What a great morning for a run or walk around the reserve! Thanks to the 102 people who came down for Yokine parkrun #11. Results have been processed and should be in your inbox shortly.
And an even bigger thanks to the 9 volunteers that made it happen: Lorraine, Fiona, Brett, Brendan, Ciara, Sam, Paul, Rachel and Adrian.
Another big congrats to Rachel who completed her 100th volunteer stint AND 150th parkrun today as tail runner. A fantastic achievement!

If you want to be a... legend like those guys, there are a few volunteering spots available over the next few weeks so let us know if you can help out!

Hope to see you all again next week!

16 December 2017

Thanks so much to the 80 parkrunners we had join us at Yokine parkrun today in what appeared to be steadily increasing temperatures!

Thanks so much to our volunteers and sponsors for helping us run today!

We had TWENTY-NINE first timers today which is amazing, and another TWENTY-ONE people beat their Yokine parkrun PBs! For those of you who forgot your barcode (only SEVEN) you can easily fix that on the parkrun website ;)

...

We also had a sneaky milestoner earn their 50 shirt today, but we won't mention who as they kept that a secret during the briefing! Congratulations though!

As always our volunteer rosters need some people, particularly over the Christmas and New Year period, so please let us know if too much holiday cheer means you'd rather marshal or take photos for us! You'll be appropriately trained and supervised!

Once again, thank-you to everyone who came today! Your results should be in your emails, but for those barcode forgetters, the results are also available here! http://www.parkrun.com.au/yokine/results/weeklyresults/…

Hope to see you all next week!

Thank you to all our volunteers on the day, and to Simon Millman, MLA for Mt Lawley who officially launched the event. We are looking forward to running this event with you each Saturday morning!
