West Beach parkrun – Event number 186 – 28th December 2019

It was a rather hot and balmy morning down at West Beach this morning. The unexpected rain shower in the early hours of the morning left extra moisture in the air making it harder for our runners to breathe. However, the joy of a coastal parkrun is the ability to go for a swim post run to help the body cool down, which we know a few of our runners did today! We had a few overseas visitors from the northern hemisphere today, and I'm sure they weren't quite expecting the weather experience they got, but we are told they enjoyed the course and the run all the same. There were a truck load of first timers joining us today as well. Great to see so many new faces coming out to join our parkrun family at West Beach! We get to do it all again on New Year's Day at 7.30am when we do our part for the parkrun New Year's Day double. So come on down and run West Beach, and then head off to the second location of your choice! We look forward to seeing you there.
