Well, it was a cool, wet, and windy morning down at West Beach. Amazingly 165 troopers turned up to run, which is about 100 more than we expected! With 20 of them never having set foot on the West Beach course before, we hope that they will come back to experience the beauty of West Beach on a more summer-like day.
Thank you to all of our volunteers this week. They weathered the storm today, and most of them did not get away dry. But without dedicated volunteers, parkrun can not run. So again, thank you!
This week 165 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 20 were first timers and 21 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 10 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 14 volunteers:
Greg PATRICK • Wayne SCARMAN • Kirsty HAYES • Louise SCARMAN • Michael GUNN • Daryl JOHANSON • Margaret JOHANSON • Caycee FELL • Nick ANDERSON • Alissa BISHOP-THORPE • Chris MAYNARD • Donna MEYER • Julie FIELDHOUSE • Tiana HUME
