Wauchope parkrun is cancelled on 2021-10-02 – Due to current COVID-19 restrictions

The lower parts of our original course have been destroyed in the recent floods. It will probably be months before they are ready for use so we have a revised start point so that Wauchope parkrun can continue.

We are using the same path but a smaller section of it which means that we are running 2.5 laps. Start at the end of Cameron St opposite the tennis courts, beside the bullock artwork. Please be mindful that there are residents who may be sleeping in, in the area. We look forward to seeing you.

Don’t forget the Purple parkrun this Saturday 13th March 2021

purple parkrunnersAs part of the Wauchope Lasiandra Festival, Wauchope parkrun's purple run is a chance for all runners to dress in their favourite purple or pink.
7am this Saturday. See you there.

Have you been thinking about it but don't know where to begin. Or you might be injured but don't want to miss out on the parkrun Saturday morning connections and positivity.

Firstly, check out the roster page on our website to see what spots are available. Here is a link https://www.parkrun.com.au/wauchope/futureroster/

If you would like to buddy up with someone on the roster so that you can try out the position without any pressure, just ask one of our helpful regulars.

Volunteering is:
- A great way to be involved in the local community
- Building social connections
- Improving physical and mental health
- Learning new skills
- Growing confidence
- Spending time with others in the fresh air
- Most all it's heaps of fun.

Purple parkrun

It's that time of year again. The Lasiandra are coming into bloom and Wauchope has a party. Wauchope parkrun has become a staple on the Lasiandra Festival calendar.

This free community event goes a little or a lot crazy with purple and this year it will be held on 13th March. Come on down to Rocks Ferry reserve for a 7am start and get your purple on!

Wauchope parkrun’s 200th event 20th February

This anniversary has been much delayed with a 9 month hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions but we are back, baby! After a shaky start with a waterlogged course putting off a triumphant return, and a few new rules to get our heads around, things have settled in nicely. Our bicentennial event is nearly here.

We love to dress up at Wauchope so this Saturday's theme will be anything starting with 'B' (for Bicentennial). Come as your favourite sports star whose name begins with 'B', be the Man In Black, be a bear, a beachball, a baby...or don't dress up because then you'll be boring.

See you there!
