Warwick parkrun Event#162. November 12th, 2016

Well a warmer morning for our 54 parkrunners, and a snappy father duck, did not stop 4 of you achieving PBs. Congratulations Ben, Melissa, Grant and Fiona.

Thankyou to Rachel, Jeff, Len, Annie and Kate for volunteering. We still have some roles that need filling for next week so if you are free, let us know.

Thankyou to Josh for stepping up to run with a very fast junior. We certainly appreciated it, as I'm sure did Ben.

Congratulations to Joe on your 50th parkrun, and to Judi, our parkrunner of the month for October.

Enjoy your weekend. We look forward to seeing you all out enjoying parkrun with us again next Saturday. #freeandalwayswillbe

Warwick parkrun Event #160, 29th October 2016

WOW What a great morning for our Rodeo parkrun today. We had 61 runners off to a whip-cracking start thanks to the Naughton brothers skills. Our pacers took us round our 5K run in style - thanks to them and all of todays volunteers.

With the rodeo on in town we saw some new faces. We had visitors to Warwick parkrun joining us from afar as well as a new face having his first parkrun circuit debut. Thanks for your company, hope you enjoyed our scenic course! The warming weather also saw more of our wonderful parkrun pooches come for their walk which is fantastic to see.

Two of our most junior parkrunners today took to our path with one making it all the way around both laps (high 5 Aiden) whilst the other's enthusiastic sprinting around the first lap left the second a bit daunting this time.

Thanks to everyone for a wonderful morning and look forward to seeing you all again next week. Remember to volunteer - it's easy and friendly. Your RD Sandra

Event #144, 2nd July 2016

What a wonderful morning for a parkrun....a brisk 0 degrees (or -1, I've heard both reports), frost, NO wind....perfect!

Our volunteers were all rugged up for the morning. Thankyou to Jayne keeping the times, Kelly handing out the finish tokens, Autumn scanning the barcodes, Caitlyn (and her beautiful puppy) filled the tailrunner spot. A special thankyou to Joseph who braved the cold lonely conditions at the weir to cheer you on and dispense high 5s. And when you check out our fantastic photos today, they are from the fabulous Annie.

We always love having new parkrunners and visitors, but when they come on a frosty winter morning we feel truly honoured. We welcomed two new parkrunners, Rachel and Stella, and David visited from Chermside parkrun.

We celebrated two milestones.....one of our Run Directors, Karen, ran her 100th parkrun. One of our volunteers extra-ordinaire Ross was joined by a tribe of superheroes to run his 50th parkrun. Congratulations to both of you.

Ellena MacDonald (and beautiful Gypsy) is our parkrunner of the month for June, receiving a lovely parkrun keyring. Our volunteer of the month for June is Imelda Bacon, the recipient of a coffee and cake voucher from Urban Mist Speciality Coffees.

We had some great PBs this week. If you are chasing a faster parkrun time, next week is for you....it's pacer week! We are seeking someone to pace at 22.5 min, 25 min, 27.5 min and 30 min. We have a 20 min pacer locked and loaded. If you are keen to pace some runners to a PB please let us know.

Enjoy your weekend. Linda (your Run Director)
