Wagga parkrun Run Report, Event #157 03/07/2021

62 parkrunners ventured out and back on our course at Lake Albert today with 6 parkrun tourists and 7 first timers to parkrun! Thank-you for joining us all and we hope to see you again soon!

Wagga parkrun Run Report, Event #156 26/06/2021

After a week and morning of heavy rain, it seems the sky stopped and allowed a clear, rainless run for us this morning at Wagga parkrun for event #156. We had our original start place back today with the bike track gone to a new location. We welcomed 7 first timers to Wagga parkrun who were tourists from Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Geelong and Hobart! Thank-you for joining us all and we hope to see you again soon!

Todays event brought a total of 6 new PBs to: Morgan Hoellfritsch, Luke Guerin, Renee Stratton, Max O’Connell, Megan Paton and Annie Rayner!! Congratulations!

Wagga parkrun Run Report Event #155 19/06/2021

A foggy morning outside of Wagga but clear around the lake for 58 parkrunners taking place today. We had 6 parkrun tourists from around Australia here in Wagga today, and 3 first timers to parkrun itself. Photos have been uploaded onto our Facebook page so check them out!

We had 7 new personal bests from: Briohny Seaman, Dean McCallum, Alexander McDonald, Sharon McLay, Amanuil Tarekegn, Kathryn Christieson and Crystal Hanlon!

Wagga parkrun Run Report, Event #154 12/06/2021

A touch of rain today at the beginning of parkrun, but not enough to dampen the spirits of 85 parkrunners for Wagga parkruns event #154. We had 6 first timers to Wagga parkrun including tourists from Rhodes (Sydney) and Newy (Newcastle) parkruns. Thankyou for joining us!

Today’s event brought a whopping 13 new PBs to: Jerra Wright-Smith, Maisy Wright-Smith, Dean McCallum, Micheal Wilson, Marcus McCormack, Micheal Osborne, Alan Finucane, James Cooper, David Wright-Smith, Clive Ellis, Emma Constable, Annie Rayner and Joseph Safour!

Shoutout to Malcom Edgar and Bethany Kate Richmond for completing their 100th parkrun today and to Alexander McDonald for completing his 10th parkrun today! You will get an email soon that will send you to where you can get your junior10 and 100 parkrun t-shirts!

Wagga parkrun Run Report, Event #153 05/06/2021

A very cool, still morning for parkrun #153 at Lake Albert with 70 parkrunners. With the fog covering the lake adding a big of magic to the morning. Everyone was rugged up thanks to the chilly start to winter. The bridge was a touch slippery this morning on the run out but defrosted slightly on the way back with the sun starting to join us at the end. We had 7 first timers to Wagga parkrun, and 1 first timer to parkrun! Thankyou for joining us on this fresh morning and hope we see you again soon.

Wagga parkrun, Run Report Event #152 29/05/2021

The last Wagga parkrun for Autumn but it sure felt like the middle of winter! A cool 2 degrees starting parkrun this morning for those that braved it, with 65 parkrunners at Wagga parkruns #152nd event. Today we welcomed just 2 parkrun tourists and 5 newcommers to parkrun! We hope you enjoyed our parkrun despite the cool conditions and come again! Don’t forget to join us afterwards at Mock Orange Café at Lake Albert for a coffee or hot chocolate afterwards to get the sensation in your fingers back again.

Today’s event brought a new PB’s to: Warren Prior, Morgan Hoellfritsch, Luke Guerin, Dean McCallum, Adam Sennett, Nathan Lanham, Allan Finucane, Tracy Dawson, Robyn Hampton and Joseph Safour!

Shoutout to Wagga parkrunner Ketema Zeleke on completing their 100th parkrun today, and all 100 being run at Wagga! Ketema has also volunteered twice at Wagga being timekeeper and finish tokens. Thankyou for supporting us and an email will be sent out in the next week or so how to collect you 100 parkrun t-shirt!

Wagga parkrun Run Report, Event #151 22/05/2021

A very cool morning this Saturday for 85 Wagga parkrunners, and whilst we were frosty or snowing, it was enough for one of our barcode scanners phones to freeze loosing the data! Thankfully it seems that we have fixed most of the results with the help of social media, however if you have NOT been sent an email regarding this weeks results for Wagga parkrun, send us a message with what position you were and your barcode and we will get it sorted.

Event #151 today brought 10 parkrun tourists to Wagga parkrun from around Aus, including Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Wodonga. Thankyou for choosing to join us and I hope you loved out little flat run out and back around Lake Albert.

Of the results we have, todays parkrun brought new personal bests to: Jared Kalefeldt, Ryan Forsyth, Briohny Seaman, Georgina Williams, Luke Guerin, Sharon McLay, Adam Sennett, Alexander McDonald, Nathan Lanham, Charlie Forsyth, Melissa Allan, Francesca Smith and Victoria Bensley.

Did you know there are currently 412 parkruns in Australia, across our 8 major states and territories with every letter of the alphabet available except the letter ‘x’? ‘Running Challenges’ on Google Chromes allows you to follow your parkrun progress and earn ‘badges’ along the way, and there is a free app on apple and android called 5k parkrunner where you can see all your (and chosen friends) parkrun details!

Wagga parkrun, Run Report Event #150 15/05/2021

A chilly, windy parkrun this morning at Lake Albert, with the winds feeling like they’re coming of Antarctica! As a bonus at least the course was dry? We had a smaller crowd today of 64 parkrunners completing Wagga parkruns #150th event, with 5 parkun tourists and 2 newcommers to parkrun! Thankyou for joining us on this “fresh” morning and we do hope you’ll join us again.

A lovely, clear autumn morning for parkrunday around the lake with support of some peliCANs (not peliCANTs) encouraging 101 parkrunners at Wagga parkruns #149th event. Today we had 13 parkrun tourists join us, and 4 newcomers to parkrun! The team at Wagga parkrun hope you enjoyed the course!

Wagga parkrun Run Report, Event #148 01/05/2021

A cool but non-frosty morning for parkrun number #148 today at Lake Albert, welcoming 82 parkrunnners to Wagga parkrun. The lake was a little hazy, but the path and day was clear ready for the start of a glorious weekend in the Riverina! We welcomed 18 first timers to Wagga parkrun, with 4 of those were first timers to parkrun itself! Thank-you for joining us all and we hope to see you again soon!
