Wagga parkrun Run Report, Event #156 26/06/2021

After a week and morning of heavy rain, it seems the sky stopped and allowed a clear, rainless run for us this morning at Wagga parkrun for event #156. We had our original start place back today with the bike track gone to a new location. We welcomed 7 first timers to Wagga parkrun who were tourists from Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Geelong and Hobart! Thank-you for joining us all and we hope to see you again soon!

Todays event brought a total of 6 new PBs to: Morgan Hoellfritsch, Luke Guerin, Renee Stratton, Max O’Connell, Megan Paton and Annie Rayner!! Congratulations!

Our course record is still set by (M) Matt ROBBIE 14:50 on 11/11/17 and (F) Stephanie TORLEY 18:10 on 11/11/17. Todays’ results have been emailed, and the full set can be viewed via the following link: https://www.parkrun.com.au/wagga/results/weeklyresults/?runSeqNumber=156

A big thankyou to our volunteers that allowed our parkrun to run this weekend: Alex Walker, Bethany Kate Richmond, Crystal Hanlon, Helen Davis, John Mason, Kerrie Macmurray, Malcolm Edgar and Michael Osborne!

We are looking for some new Run Directors! If this is something that interests you or you think you you’d like to know more about it, send us a message or come and have a chat to our run director on the weekends! We’d love to have you on board. <3

We have a full roster (except for a photographer) next week! Whoohoo! The following wee (July 10th) we are chasing a few more volunteers! These events cannot be run without our fantastic volunteers, so please consider volunteering as we would love to have you! We always welcome new and returning volunteers who can get on board by either the roster board at each event, messaging our Fb page or emailing us at waggahelpers@parkrun.com . Volunteers also get a free coffee (or hot chocolate) at our post parkrun café – Mock Orange in the Lake Village Shopping Centre.

We look forward to seeing you next Saturday for event #157!
