A very cool, still morning for parkrun #153 at Lake Albert with 70 parkrunners. With the fog covering the lake adding a big of magic to the morning. Everyone was rugged up thanks to the chilly start to winter. The bridge was a touch slippery this morning on the run out but defrosted slightly on the way back with the sun starting to join us at the end. We had 7 first timers to Wagga parkrun, and 1 first timer to parkrun! Thankyou for joining us on this fresh morning and hope we see you again soon.
Today’s event brought a new PB to: Alexander, McDonald, Leigh Dawson, Jorjii McDonald, Scott Cooper, Shane Raidal, James Hall, Crystal Halon and Demi Taylor! Great effort!
Shoutout to Crystal Hanlon for completing her 10th parkrun today! You will get an email soon that will send you to where you can get your junior10 parkrun t-shirt!
Todays’ results have been emailed, and the full set can be viewed via the following link: https://www.parkrun.com.au/wagga/results/weeklyresults/?runSeqNumber=153
A big thankyou to this weekends vollies in orange who were all rugged up: Victoria Bensley, Domenic Bertazzo, Narelle Forsyth, Catherine Ivey, Heidi McGrath, Michele Neiberding, Kellie Noske, Lester Noske and Demi Taylor.
Next weekend we are looking for a timekeeper and a second barcode scanner if anyone is interested. These events cannot be run without our fantastic volunteers, so please consider volunteering as we would love to have you! We always welcome new and returning volunteers who can get on board by either the roster board at each event, messaging our Fb page or emailing us at email@example.com . Volunteers also get a free coffee (or hot chocolate) at our post parkrun café – Mock Orange in the Lake Village Shopping Centre.
We look forward to seeing you next Saturday for event #154!
