Event # 57 Run Report 18th June 2016

The parkrun fairies were working hard again making sure it didn't rain on parkrun. We've been so fortunate to have only had one wet parkrun day in 13 months ...... how long can it last? We had 100 runners and 5 were first timers

Big thanks to Fiona who was our Run Director this week. Fiona highlighted Brooke Hosgood's success at her recent school athletics carnival where she broke 2 long standing records and was named Junior Champion.

It was great to have our parkrun Territory Director Dave Robertson "Robbo" run with us this week. he showed us all "how it's done" by crossing the line first in a very speedy time (and a PB for Robbo for the Taree course).

We celebrated a few birthdays this week, including Maureen who was celebrating her 80th birthday running parkrun and achieved a PB as well. We had visitors from Petrie, Newie and Penrith parkruns.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers this week - Tara Copp, Jessica Dreyer, Kashanna Dreyer, Madeline Dreyer, Cheryle Hall, Mark Knoke, Margie Lewis, Gabe Longa, Fiona Ludeke, Arna McDermott, Hugh McLeod, Niki Schemioneck and Sandra van Dyk. Your time is much appreciated.
