Brrrrrrrr how cold was that wind today? It didn't stop some of our bravest parkrunners though. 85 of you braved the chilly winds for a run along the beautiful Manning foreshore.

George Ball, Janelle Jefferies, Janet Berner, Karlene Reading, Margie Lewis, Phil Thornton, Rhoda Ball, Russell Thornton, Sandra van Dyk, Scott Paterson, Tony Alsford & Warren Jefferies who entered the V25 Club today having volunteered 25 times. Well done and thanks Waz !!

Event # 57 Run Report 18th June 2016

The parkrun fairies were working hard again making sure it didn't rain on parkrun. We've been so fortunate to have only had one wet parkrun day in 13 months ...... how long can it last? We had 100 runners and 5 were first timers

Big thanks to Fiona who was our Run Director this week. Fiona highlighted Brooke Hosgood's success at her recent school athletics carnival where she broke 2 long standing records and was named Junior Champion.

It was great to have our parkrun Territory Director Dave Robertson "Robbo" run with us this week. he showed us all "how it's done" by crossing the line first in a very speedy time (and a PB for Robbo for the Taree course).

We celebrated a few birthdays this week, including Maureen who was celebrating her 80th birthday running parkrun and achieved a PB as well. We had visitors from Petrie, Newie and Penrith parkruns.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers this week - Tara Copp, Jessica Dreyer, Kashanna Dreyer, Madeline Dreyer, Cheryle Hall, Mark Knoke, Margie Lewis, Gabe Longa, Fiona Ludeke, Arna McDermott, Hugh McLeod, Niki Schemioneck and Sandra van Dyk. Your time is much appreciated.

Event # 56 Run Report 11th June 2016

A beautiful misty morning greeted 110 participants to the river front. This week saw 17 first timers enjoy Taree parkrun and we had visitors from Sandgate, Petrie and Canberra.

The volunteer spots this week were filled by the Taree Masons, who did a sterling job once again. They have become regular volunteers at Taree parkrun, it's so good to have their support. If you haven't yet volunteered, why not come and chat to us next week or email us at tareehelpers@parkrun.com ? We only ask you to volunteer 3 times a year and when you do volunteer, you will receive the maximum points towards the end of year points score.

Our Run Director for the day was Steve Morton. After a minor hiccup with the stopwatch, Steve set the runners off with parkrun "pups" singing barking excitedly as everyone went past. The front runners set a cracking pace which eventually saw the following 31 people achieve PB's:

Amanda Nugent
Bree Hagan
Brian Dawson
Cheryle Hall
Colleen Balaam
Debbie Dale
Eileen Taylor
Emma Foster
Fiona Ludeke
