South Bank parkrun
Event number 66 – 8th February 2014
We're well into February now but the numbers keep on rising - 488 runners this week, buoyed by 97 trying South Bank parkrun for the first time. There were 228 women, 186 men and 74 unknowns (who are presumably kicking themselves for forgetting their barcodes)!
We had no less than 4 runners join the Junior 10 Club: Danielle Wrigley, Nadia Van Wegen, Hayley Orth and Ben Hamilton. Congratulations to all of them - the 10 Club certificates will be ready shortly.
92 runners recorded personal bests on the day, including Suzan Anderson who set a new best time in the VW65-69 age category of 29:16.
Dan SYMONDS (SM20-24) of Intraining, was first over the line in 18:03 - first time in 3 appearances.
Scott MCINNES (SM30-34) (Unattached) was second over the line in 18:08.
Peter RUN (SM30-34) (Unattached) was third over the line in 18:11.

Louisa ABRAM (VW50-54) of South Bank Triathlon Club, was first (9th overall) over the line in 19:16 - 7th time in 7 appearances.
Olivia LENNON (VW35-39) (Unattached) was second (18th overall) over the line in 20:38 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions.
Kimberley ROBSON (SW30-34) (Unattached) was third (19th overall) over the line in 20:39.

Andrew JENKINSON (VM40-44) was graded 75.07% for the time 18:11 (4th overall).
Zoe Christine MANNING (JW14) was graded 74.35% for the time 21:54 (32nd overall).
This week there were 488 runners, of whom 97 were first timers and 92 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 18 different athletics clubs took part.
South Bank parkrun started on 3rd November 2012, and since then 4,485 different runners, including participants from 113 athletics clubs, have completed 19,130 runs covering a total distance of 95,650 km, and there have been 4,383 new Personal Bests.
The women's record is held by Felicity ABRAM who ran in a time of 00:17:26 on 2013-03-02 (event number 17).
The men's record is held by Liam WOOLLETT who ran in a time of 00:15:25 on 2013-11-02 (event number 51).
The Age Grade course record is held by Louisa ABRAM who recorded a 92.81% run (18:46) on 26th October 2013 (event number 50).
