Shepparton parkrun weekly news – event #313

What a super sweaty way to start a Saturday!! Great opportunity to take things a bit slower than normal and enjoy the beautiful scenery at the lake.

This week 196 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 12 were first timers and 5 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 8 different clubs took part.

We had visitors from Paramatta parkrun, Petrie parkrun and Cobram parkrun.

Shepparton parkrunners were spotted: Lee-Anne Kirschner at Birdsland Reserve parkrun. Steven Trevaskis and Tara and Sam Daniel at Benalla Botanical Gardens parkrun.

Congratulations to the following milestone achievers:

Norah Armstrong: 250 Club: 245 at Shepparton parkrun, 3 at Gungahlin parkrun and 2 at Echuca Moama parkrun. Since her first parkrun she has improved her time by 6:23, has had 22 personal bests and has volunteered 7 times.

Stacey Willaton: 100 Club: 84 at Shepparton parkrun and 16 at 11 other locations. Since her first parkrun she has improved her time by 4:49, has had 9 personal bests and has volunteered twice.

The male record is held by Brady THRELFALL who recorded a time of 14:54 on 27th June 2015 (event number 75).
The female record is held by Tarli BIRD who recorded a time of 16:42 on 3rd December 2016 (event number 148).
The Age Grade course record is held by Annette O'SHEA who recorded 93.71% (19:04) on 29th March 2014 (event number 12).

Shepparton parkrun started on 11th January 2014. Since then 4,106 participants have completed 42,259 parkruns covering a total distance of 211,295 km, including 6,520 new Personal Bests. A total of 468 individuals have volunteered 3,503 times.
