Sandon Point parkrun COVID Safe QR Code Check-in

  • The NSW Government has made it mandatory to check-in electronically for contact tracing purposes.
  • The QR codes are unique to each event, so it is important you use the correct code for the event you are attending.
  • Each parkrun will display a QR code each Saturday morning, at various locations at the event to assist with physical distancing and will also be available on each event’s social media channels and website so you can check in before leaving home, in your car, at or after the event.
  • This is fundamental to the reopening of parkrun in NSW so we ask that all Volunteers and Participants check in each week.

New Years Day at Sandon Point

There is only one day in the year when parkrun allows runners to register two results and this is on New Years Day. You can get your 'double' fix on the first day of 2020 by running at North Wollongong parkrun and Sandon Point parkrun. We'll be starting the run at Sandon Point at 9:30am.

Your safety is paramount, so please ensure you are not rushing between the two, driving safely and staying well hydrated.

We will also need a sufficient number of volunteers to allow the event to safely go ahead, so if you'd like to help out, send us an email or put your name down on the roster any Saturday between now and then.

Christmas at Sandon Point

Ho ho ho! What better present than to have a parkrun on Christmas Day?

Christmas

This year, Sandon Point parkrun will be enabling you to get in a sneaky run before sitting down to a gourmet lunch with your nearest and dearest.

We will be kicking off proceedings at the usual time of 8:00am (slightly before then for the run briefing).

We will also need a sufficient number of volunteers to allow the event to safely go ahead, so if you'd like to help out, send us an email or put your name down on the roster any Saturday between now and then.

Sandon Point parkrun #241 Christmas 2017

Great turnout for our 2017 Christmas run, 239 participants - one shy of our record!  Plenty of PBs and first timers.  A warm welcome to our visitors from the UK, Rhodes, Canberra and Cronulla.  Thanks to all our volunteers and those who embraced Christmas by dressing up.  A big thank you to Santa (aka Steve Newton), who was our timekeeper and Athene for directing/producing the Christmas Carols.   Merry Christmas to All

Sandon Point parkrun #149

Saturday 19 March 2016

Big congratulations to Amy and Elivia who ran their 50th and 100th respectively, parkrun. Well done!

With quite a few of you hitting milestone runs make sure you read your parkrun emails and login to your profile to redeem your milestone T-Shirt. There is also a white kids T-shirt for when the kids reach 10 parkruns.

PB's were dropping like flys today, did you run a PB? Tell us about it.

REMINDER - You must keep left whilst running for the duration of our course not just at the start. In particular, the blind corner after you come out of Sandon Drive, even when there is a big puddle it is important for your safety and the safety of others that you stay left.

Saturday is Easter, a prime opportunity for fancy dress!

Get your easter costumes out for our easter celebrations.
