Renmark parkrun Event #148

What another great themed parkrun this morning which saw 61 people walk, run or jog the course! Some getting in the Star Wars spirit of "May the 4th be with you". There were 6 first timers and a few unknowns which may well have been first timers also. We also had 2 record PB's....well done to you all!

The morning started out a little fresh with a cool breeze that required an extra layer! But once everyone got going it didn't take long to warm up. As usual, our volunteers did a great job and we must thank Susy, Lee, Tyler, Peter, Karen, Andy and Brenda for volunteering your time....hope the warm FREE :) coffees hit the spot!

Renmark parkrun Event #144

Thank you everyone for coming out this morning in what was yet another amazing event! This week 59 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 2 were first timers and 6 recorded new Personal Bests.

The weather was absolutely perfect with a slight breeze. Although i'm told it was a little on the warm side for our English visitors. We also had some other visitors from Geelong join us. Thanks for visiting guys and we hope you enjoyed our beautiful course!

There were quite a few fast finishers with what seemed like people pacing each other today. It's great to see the camaraderie between fellow runners and walkers, spurring each other along and over the line, or sprinting to the finish chasing someones tail, but there's always a "well done" and a high five at the end.

Our brilliant volunteers once again made today run like clock work, thanks to Jo, Sue, Di, Shannon, Val and also Kirby for filling in last minute to take photos. We made the call out for help as the new roster was looking a little sad but i'm happy to announce we have filled a few weeks worth so great job guys and girls!

Results have been finalised and you can find them at

Have a fantastic weekend and we'll see you all next week!

Renmark parkrun Event #143

start line

This week 57 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 4 were first timers and 11 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 5 different clubs took part.

It's fantastic to see some local footy players getting out on course and always finishing in the top 5. The course record may soon be in jeopardy, with some of these guys gaining on it every week. The mens course record currently stands at 15:39. The first male finisher this week came in at 17:55 which is an amazing effort! The first female finisher came in at 21:55!

The weather was a perfect 10 degrees with a slight breeze which made for excellent conditions. There was even a bit of dinghy racing on the water which made for something a little different whilst enjoying the riverfront course.

The event was made possible by 7 volunteers:

Deanna HUTCHINS • Shirley SIMS • Karen MILLER • Scott PEDLER • Sandra WILKINSON • Ian (Wol) WOLTER • Liz BULL

Without these wonderful volunteers, parkrun would not be the success that it is today. So please consider putting your name on the roster and get a free coffee! What more could you want?!

Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Renmark parkrun Results Page.

See you next week at 7:45 across from the Renmark Hotel
