2021 October 16 – parkrun #190 at Redland Bay

A glorious morning with a high tide right on our start time, stunning clear views of the islands thanks to recent storms, a gorgeous breeze and brilliant blue skies - just what the doctor ordered to round out Queensland Mental Health Week, and what a privilege to soak it all up at Redland Bay.  Thanks to everyone who joined us and brought such positivity and warmth to our gathering.  Please make sure you have checked-in for COVID contact tracing.

  • This week 69 people ran, jogged and walked the course.
  • 7 people were first timers, with 2 of those running their very first parkrun.
  • 9 people recorded new Personal Bests.
  • Representatives of 6 different clubs took part.
  • Rick Norman ran his 150th parkrun - no free shirt, but still an awesome achievement - well done Rick!
  • We congratulate Trevor and Leanne on their 40th wedding anniversary during the week.
  • Happy Birthday to our Run Director Mark Oates.
  • Happy Birthday to Oscar Yarwood, celebrated by running solo for the first time after joining the JM11-14 age group, and achieving a new PB.  Well done Oscar.
