2021 September 25 – parkrun #187 at Redland Bay

A beautiful spring morning welcomed our parkrunners with blue skies and a high tide.

  • This week 82 people ran, jogged and walked the course
  • 10 were first timers
  • 10 recorded a PB
  • Representatives of 8 clubs took part
  • We welcomed visitors from Cleveland, Wynnum and Stones Corner
  • We celebrated Ella Pollard on her 25th volunteer, as well as (unofficially) Clare Pollard running her 200thevent and dad Michael Pollard tailwalking his way to 50 runs at Redland Bay

First finishers

Our first finishers today were:

  • Male: Sam Webster, in 18:14, first male and first overall
  • Female: Lainie Groundwater, who was first female finisher 22:47
  • Junior: Tom Kliese was 1st junior in 21:47
  • Best age grade: Shayne Steenson scooped best age grade in 2nd place at 75.99%

The male record is held by Patrick HAGAN who recorded a time of 16:28 on 6th July 2019 (event number 110).
The Age Grade course record is held by Peter O'SULLIVAN who recorded 86.39% (18:44) on 29th May 2021 (event number 172).

Redland Bay parkrun started on 10th June 2017. Since then 3,371 participants have completed 18,661 parkruns covering a total distance of 93,305 km, including 3,097 new Personal Bests. A total of 348 individuals have volunteered 2,040 times.
