New Year’s Day Double 2019

Starting with Parramatta parkrun at 7.30am (note the earlier start) and follow this up at either Rhodes at 8.30am OR Rooty Hill at 9.30am.

It's the only time of the year you can officially record two runs in one day.

Remember, please drive carefully between events, and respect our neighbours at this early hour.

 

Christmas 2018 – Parramatta parkrun

Parramatta parkrun 'Christmas Day' edition returns for 2018.

Join us at the usual time of 8.00am for a festive 5km run or walk.

 

New Year’s Day Double

We are having a New Year's Day double with Rooty Hill.

Commencing at 8.00am at Rooty Hill, you can follow this up with a 9.30am run at Parramatta. This is the only day of the year where two runs will count.

Please travel safely if you are going to do the two runs.

 

 

Christmas 2017 – Parramatta parkrun

Parramatta parkrun 'Christmas Day' edition is back again in 2017.

Join us for an 8.00am start for your favourite festive 5km run or walk.

Parramatta Park Run

This week 175 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 20 were first timers and 27 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 16 different clubs took part.

Male placings:
Timothy MOLESWORTH (VM35-39) of Bankstown Sports Senior Athletic Club, was first over the line in 17:10 - 48th time in 72 appearances.
Glenn HORROCKS (VM40-44) of Garingal Orienteers, was second over the line in 17:16.
Cameron GORDON (SM25-29) (Unattached) was third over the line in 17:32 - has been first to finish on 8 previous occasions.

Female placings:
Melanie TRUSCOTT (VW35-39) of Sydney Striders, was first (9th overall) over the line in 19:50 - 6th time in 32 appearances.
Lilian MOLESWORTH (VW35-39) of Bankstown Sports Senior Athletic Club, was second (11th overall) over the line in 20:35 - has been first to finish on 29 previous occasions.
Emma SOUTHERON (SW20-24) (Unattached) was third (15th overall) over the line in 20:51 - was first to finish once before.

The three highest age grades were recorded by:
Rosemary ROEDIGER (VW60-64) – 94.48% for the time 21:08 (18th overall).
Glenn HORROCKS (VM40-44) – 80.89% for the time 17:16 (second overall).
Wayne STEER (VM50-54) – 79.43% for the time 18:43 (5th overall).

The male record is held by Thomas DO CANTO who recorded a time of 14:40 on 26th April 2014 (event number 61).
The female record is held by Bridey DELANEY who recorded a time of 16:28 on 6th June 2015 (event number 119).
The Age Grade course record is held by Rosemary ROEDIGER who recorded 95.96% (20:13) on 24th October 2015 (event number 138).

Parramatta parkrun started on 9th March 2013. Since then 4,839 participants have completed 36,799 parkruns covering a total distance of 183,995 km, including 6,705 new Personal Bests.
