Will you be doing the New Years Day Double?

Have you tried the New Years Day Double before?

Mudgeeraba parkrun will not be hosting a New Years Day parkrun event this year but Varsity Lakes, and Coomera parkrun will be along with Kirra and Kingscliff (for all you southerners).

New Year's Day is the only day when parkrunners can complete 2 parkruns in one day (and have them count!). Start times on New Year's Day are more flexible to allow for  events located close by to work together to plan doubles.

Want to do the double? -

OPTION 1:  Varsity / Coomera Double

On New Years Day Varsity Lakes parkrun will be your starting point for parkrun at 7am followed by Coomera parkrun at 8:30am.

OPTION 2:  Kingscliff / Kirra Double

On New Years Day Kingscliff parkrun will start at 8am DST (7am EST), followed by Kirra parkrun held half an hour later at 8:30am DST (7:30am EST).

NOTE: Kirra parkrun is located in Queensland and operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST).  Kingscliff parkrun is in New South Wales and operates on Daylight Saving Time (DST).

These times are to allow as many parkrunners as possible to do the double safely with consideration to travel time between the two events .

Please drive safely between event and obey all the road rules.

Have a Happy and Safe Christmas and New Year parkrunners!

- Libby (Mudgeeraba parkrun ED)
