Event #60 – Flood water receded – 31st January 2015

The flood waters had receded – there were plenty of smiles at Minnippi parkrun. It felt like a long time since I was standing on the “Block” welcoming everyone. It was great to see everyone back enjoying a run in our park. I always feel like am amongst family when I am at Minnippi. It had been only two week since I had been at Minnippi but I missed everyone.

I have set myself a goal this year to parkrun tourist at least once a month and I encourage you to tourist too. We have some other great runs within our district and even further afield. I know of many of our local Minnippians plan their travels around being able to parkrun too.

On Saturday I had a number of people come up and say THANK YOU – and I want to pass all of those wishes on to each and everyone on of you, we wouldn’t be what we are each and every week without all of your support, encouragement, enthusiasm – THANK YOU!

We had a number of celebrations of 50th parkruns on Saturday.   “Warm Up” Steve Barraclough and Lori Marshall. Congratulations to the both of you!

Happy Running
