The rain didn't stop our regulars, 1st timers and tourists. Despite the damp and windy conditions, the general consensus was that we had a very enjoyable parkrun.
Well done to Jack BILLINGTON who joined the Volunteer 25 Club today. Not a bad effort considering Jack is only 8 years of age.
Ang BJERSANDER did a great job on her debut as our Run Director today. She certainly was tested with sound of the rain hammering down on the shelter at parkrun hub (start/finish area) during her brief but was able to pull it off with no issues at all.
Welcome to our 1st timers today:
Paul was also our sole tourist today visiting from his home parkrun of Gawler. He came down last night with his wife and stayed at one of the local motels just to tick Meningie off his parkrun list. That is dedication for you.
CONGRATULATIONS to Deb DAWES, who recorded a PB today.
As you know, none of this would have been possible without the help from our great group of volunteers. Thank you. Today they were:
RUN DIRECTOR: Angelika BJERSANDER
TIME KEEPER: Alan GRAY
FINISH TOKENS: Jack BILLINGTON
BARCODE SCANNING: Sally BILLINGTON
MARSHAL: Sally Ann GRAY
TAIL WALKER: Rebecca FALKENHAGEN
PACER (30 MIN): Matthew BILLINGTON
We look forward to doing it all next week. Just a reminder that next week we will be using our alternate course due to the local sailing club using the park space on the northern side of their building.
