Manjimup parkrun #307 25th January

This week 41 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 9 were first timers, 8 of whom where first time visitors and one a local boosting the number of participants. A big welcome to The Coetzer family comprising Bradley, Roager Joshua and Hayley and the Nelson family of Kyle, Julie, Luke and Jaime. Shaun Hodgen was our local first timer so with a 3rd pace finish we hope you join us on a regular basis at King Jarrah. No new Personal Bests this week but not surprising given the warm and humid conditions.

A notable achievement for Manjimup parkrun today was the 1000th registered participant at our parkrun.  Thanks to Mark for bringing to our attention that we had reached 99 participants since commencing almost 6 years ago and with so many first timers today we were always going to pass the magic figure of 1000.  Connie Femia who was a participant at our first parkrun made the presentation to Kyle Nelson as the 1000th parkrunner at King Jarrah. We look forward to Kye coming back to run with us again in the future where he can remind us of this unique achievement. As we do for all out first timers.

The event was made possible by 6 volunteers with many thanks to:

Russell CANDY • Mark SEWELL • Willah SEWELL • Karen SUNDAHL • Wendy MENZIE • Jenae CAWLEY
