Manjimup parkrun #285 31st August 2019

While overnight there was heavy rain with a shower passing through just prior to the start it didn't deter the 39 hardy soles who ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom  were first timers and 5 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 4 different clubs took part.  The Gods however smiled on us with the sun coming out just before our timekeeper started the stopwatch. The prospect of cake with two of our junior participants achieving milestones was a motivating factor. Well done to Erin Green and Ryan Oliver on your 19th parkrun.

New PB's achieved by Karlee Roche, Alexis Green, Erin Green, Ruby Bayman and Anya Johnston. Well done to you all.

It is always great to welcome first timers to King Jarrah, whether they be locals or parkrun tourists.  Thanks to Emilia Prosser, Jenny and David Hogg (Maylands), Kelly Hall (Wanneroo) and Bryson Bayman for joining us today and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Significantly of the 39 participants today we had 12 under 10 years. It was great to have so many young participants at King Jarrah and a great vote of confidence in parkrun by the families concerned.

The event was made possible by 6 volunteers and being the backbone of parkrun, as always a big thankyou:

Mark SEWELL • Sharon ROCHE • Bevan HUMPHREY • Denise BLAKERS • Jodie PEARCE • Jenae CAWLEY
