126 rolled up on our first Saturday run of 2017. 118 of them ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 20 were first timers and 9 recorded new Personal Bests. We had 11 volunteers. Representatives of 15 different clubs took part.
Co-Event Director Bernard was completing his 100th parkrun. He has volunteered many many times at Lakeview as well as sharing his expertise across the Region of Runners.
Hayley was first overall across the line and has now set a pb in consecutive runs. Her time of 18.06 is bringing her close to the female record of 17.57 set by Angela in June 2016.
Glenn celebrated his birthday by jumping an age category and being the first in the new category home. That topped off a good week as he and his crew came second in their category in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
Even the heat and humidity can't keep the smiles off the faces of Lakeview parkrunners. Especially when it is the downhill run.
