Gungahlin Christmas and New Year times

As previously advised, the Gungahlin parkrun event will be open on both Christmas Day and New Year's Day. This is additional to the normal Saturday parkruns on December 22nd and 29th.

Christmas Day parkrun will be at 8:00am

New Year's Day parkrun will be at 7:30am

On Christmas day, it is possible that newspaper and television media reporters may be present, so remember to bring your best Christmas Day costumes and smiles!

We have been working with Tuggeranong parkrun to allow you the opportunity to attend both events on NYD, the only day of the year where participants have the opportunity to officially run two events on the one day. By commencing our start time at 7:30am, both participants and volunteers should have sufficient time to complete Gungahlin parkrun, safely drive to Tuggeranong and participate at their parkrun.

Looking forward to seeing you at Yerrabi Park!

Xmas and New Year parkruns

Gungahlin parkrun is please to announce that we will be hosting parkrun at our normal course on both Christmas Day 2018 AND New Year's Day 2019.

Christmas Day parkrun will start at normal parkrun time of 8:00a.m., whereas the New Year's Day parkrun start time has not yet been decided. This is so that we can coordinate with one of our sister ACT parkruns to be part of a traditional "double".

Stay tuned for further information...

New Year’s Day parkrun at Gungahlin

Bring your hangover and join us at Gungahlin parkrun for a New Years Day parkrun!!  We are teaming up with our Southside mates at Tuggeranong parkrun who are offering an event at 07:30a.m., with Gungahlin running (pun intended) an event at 09:30a.m.  This will give all parkrunners, even volunteers, ample time to finish and travel from Tuggeranong parkrun to Gungahlin parkrun safely.

And if you're feeling too seedy to run or walk, why not volunteer? We will shortly be asking for people to nominate as a helper.

Remember - New Years Day is the only day of the year that you can collect 2, yes - 2!! parkruns in a day. Why not make the most of it?! :D
