The rather warm and humid morning did not deter 60 enthusiastic parkrunners from getting their weekly 5km fix at Geographe Bay’s event #60 last Saturday morning. 11 runners also surprised us by recording personal best times! No doubt in a hurry to get back to their water bottles.
Justin Chandler was the first across the line this week in the time of 20:40 followed by the ever improving Anton Mann with 21.06 on the clock. Richard Ford of the Busselton Runners Club rounded out the podium with a 21.08.
Jane Hardy claimed the female line honours for event 60 with a 23:38 in her first run at the event. She was followed in by Jodie Smith in 24:13 with Connie Watson third in 24:57.
As well as the 11 runners achieving new personal bests, there was an awesome 14 people running the Geographe Bay course for the first time.
