Frog Hollow parkrun Event number 46 18th April 2015

Frog Hollow parkrun Event number 46 18th April 2015

Well the weather report spelt rain, but the reality was far from it. 52 runners fronted parkrun expecting rain, and lots of it. But a few spits, some wet paths and bridges from the night before were all we had to contend with. Nice to see plenty of runners getting out, despite the forecast.

start
And they are off...

Congratulations to the mens and womens winners. Once again Chris Fenton (7th time in first place, in 7 runs), showed a clean pair of heels to the rest of the field. His time, although not a personal best (PB) was, good enough to get the best age grading of the day, 74.12%. 2nd and 3rd were Matthew Batty, and Paul Stoopman respectively. Great run guys.
In the womens field, Emma Robb not only came 1st, but ran a PB. 2nd and 3rd were Bri Sherry, and Chloe Anderson. Good to see our younger runners (Bri) getting podium finishes. And once again, the women outnumbered the males at Frog Hollow, 29 to 23.

family
Always nice to see families coming to run at parkrun.

Thanks to all the volunteers on Saturday; Bill Irvine, Cherie Presser, Gordon Longhouse, Kate Wells, Natalie Irvine, and Steve Cadby. without these people, there would not be a run every Saturday. Also a special thank you to Dee Mazzanti for bringing the gear and helping to setup.
We are constantly looking for, and needing volunteers for upcoming events. All roles are easy to do. See a run director at the next run, or go to the volunteer page on the Frog Hollow web page.
