To help keep everyone safe, there will be a few changes at Darebin parkrun. One change is that you will need to check in before you participate each week. If you would like to check in before you get there, or from your car on Saturdays, you can use the QR code below. We will also have printed copies for you to use when you arrive.

Darebin parkrun #82 – 25/08/2018

It was a chilly 4 degrees this morning, as frost glazed the grass and the skies promised a beautiful warm winter day. 85 parkrunners joined us for Darebin event #82, as Shane Holt made his debut is Run Director. The course was clear and colourful, ready for achievements to be made!

We welcomed tourists far and wide, with interstate visitors from Sydney and Darwin and internationally from England! 21 First Timers had their personal barcode scanned by our friendly volunteers at Darebin parkrun for the first time today, 10 of whom were running there first ever parkrun!

Parkrun events rely solely on volunteers, volunteering is great fun and a wonderful way to make friends. We ask all regular runners to volunteer 2-3 times a year.

Darebin parkrun #44 – 16/12/2017

Welcome

Thanks to the 70 runners/joggers/walkers who made their way down to Darebin to participate in our 44th event. Don't forget we will be holding parkrun on Christmas Day and New Year's Day parkrun's too so if you have time we'd love to see you there!

This week 70 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 13 were first timers and 16 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 12 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 9 volunteers:

The male record is held by Stephen DINNEEN who recorded a time of 16:38 on 18th February 2017 (event number 1).
The female record is held by Shania MURRAY who recorded a time of 19:15 on 11th March 2017 (event number 4).
The Age Grade course record is held by Mark PURVIS who recorded 84.80% (18:45) on 4th March 2017 (event number 3).

Darebin parkrun started on 18th February 2017. Since then 930 participants have completed 3,051 parkruns covering a total distance of 15,255 km, including 652 new Personal Bests.
