A big welcome to 30 new runners, and super massive congratulations to the 23 PBs today!

Festive Arrangements

There are only two days of the year where parkrun events take place outside of a Saturday morning... Christmas Day and New Year's Day. You can find out more on our special events page.

On Christmas Day we'll host a special event at 08:00.

Some of our neighbouring parkrun teams are also hosting events.

Participants will be able to register at most ONE event on Christmas Day.

On New Year's Day we'll host a special event at 08:00.

Why not start off the New Year with a parkrun adventure? Some of our neighbouring parkrun teams are also hosting events, allowing you to "do the double"...

  • Darebin are hosting an event at 09:30

Participants will be able to register at most TWO events on New Year's Day.

First timers

There were no first timers to our parkrun this week. Perhaps bring a friend next week? We're very friendly!

Personal Bests

There were no PBs broken this week! Maybe next week?

Age Category Records

It's pretty special to set a new benchmark for your age category. Today we saw this happen and we want to celebrate it.

  • Peter BENCE set a new VM70-74 record of 00:21:40 (81.38 %)

Very well done indeed!

Thanks to this week's volunteers

Every parkrun event relies on volunteers and volunteering is a wonderful way to make friends, feel great and have fun. We're very grateful to everyone who's volunteered at Coburg parkrun in the past.

This weekend's community event was brought to you by ten wonderful volunteers. Thank you to: Linda CROSS, Hagen DITTMER, Fleur DOUY, Kathleen DULLAGHAN, Krystal EVANS, Adam JENKINS, Roger LAY, Nicky MAXWELL, Liz PYE and Dorothy TUCK.

If you'd like to help, please take a look at the Future Roster page and drop our volunteer co-ordinator an email with the date(s) on which you'd like to volunteer.

Please visit our FAQ to learn all about volunteering at parkrun.

Did you know we have a Virtual Volunteer App?

New volunteer club members

Congratulations to the following who earned themselves a new Volunteer club shirt this weekend:

  • Kathleen DULLAGHAN

Thank you for your hard work. We look forward to seeing you in your new aubergine shirt very soon!

Running Clubs

Coburg parkrun welcomes all running clubs to participate at our events.

It was great to see represented this weekend.

Safeguarding your property

It is common for parkrunners to leave their personal possesions near the briefing area at our events.

We recommend to those travelling to parkrun by bicycle to chain their bikes up before setting off for the 5km. We also ask that you don't leave valuables near the start / finish area as we cannot guarantee that they'll be supervised during the event. Thank you for your understanding.
