Christmas and New Year

Happy festive season parkrunners. Just a little note to let you know that the Cove won’t be putting on additional runs this year on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day this year. As our usual parkrun is the  following day we felt that trying to drum up a dozen volunteers for two consecutive days on two consecutive weeks would be putting too much load on the event team. There are other events putting on additional runs and they can be found here.

NYD parkrun @ Claisebrook Cove

Hi parkrunners!

Great news! We will be having a parkrun at CC on New Year’s Day!!!! Normal start time of 8am. Once you’ve done ours you may want to consider completing the very popular NYDD ( New Year’s Day Double) . There will be plenty of options, however Burswood will be the closest to us, and they are kicking off at 9.30 to give everyone the best chance possible to complete a double. Hope to see you all there.

Course Change from 5th January to 23rd March 2019 due to path closure

We have been advised that the path around the cove will be closed for significant works until at least 23rd March. This has necessitated the use of an alternative course which starts and finishes at Mardalup Park (current start position).  This will be the new meeting spot for volunteers and participants, and also where we will barcode scan at the end.

The alternative course runs 400m further into Bardon Park and turns around at a point level with the Maylands Boat Clubhouse. Please note that parkrun HQ rules require any alternate course to be at least 50m long that the normal course, which ensures PBs on the normal course are protected.

Thanks for your patience parkrunners!

The Event Team

Claisebrook Cove will not be putting on extra events on Christmas Day or New Years Day 2018/19. Please take the opportunity to enjoy neighbouring events!

Personal Belongings at Claisebrook Cove parkrun

There was an unfortunate incident where a bag left by a parkrunner at the start area in Mardalup Park went missing. Whilst we hope that an honest person may have handed it in to the police, please can parkrunners remember that you bring any personal belongings to parkrun at your own risk.

As we have a start and finish area in separate locations, you are responsible for ensuring your belongings are safe. Whilst we monitor any suspicious activity, please remember the volunteers and Event Team are there to ensure a safe event, not to operate a cloakroom.
