Event QR Code for Contact Tracing

Hi, all.

The Western Australian Government has now mandated electronic check-in via the SafeWA app for any place where an event is held. As such, parkrun events are now required to print and display a unique QR code (attached), at various locations around the event.

Walkers, runners and volunteers checking in via the app is fundamental for parkrun to continue operating in WA, therefore participants are strongly encouraged to check in before leaving home, in their car, at or after the event each week.

Please note, due to privacy considerations, paper forms cannot be used for contact tracing purposes.

Thanks as always for your continued support.

Bunbury parkrun #116 feeling HOT HOT HOT

Another week down and another parkrun in the books!

We had 58 finishers today who took on some very warm conditions with little to no breeze making the heat stifling. There were still 6 PB's today which is a great effort in the warm temperatures.
* Sean Cowan ran 20:30 taking 1:16 seconds off his best time with us in a rare appearance without a pram.
* Erich Scherg continued his rise in good form running 20:36 to shave 3 seconds off his best time and backing up from a quick 20:58 on Thursday night at the Runners Club.
* Darren Hill came in at 21:16 to better his previous best Bunbury parkrun time by 26 seconds in his 3rd run with us.
* Paul Van Zyl ran his 3rd PB in 3 weeks coming home in 26:17, 24 seconds quicker than last week.
* Kaye Wood ran 32:05 to better her Bunbury parrun PB by 27 seconds and claimed her 4th PB in her last 4 runs with us!
* Chris Steenkamp took 3:46 minutes off last weeks run coming in at 36:10 in his 2nd run with us.

Thank you to our volunteers today, Colleen, TJ, Murray and Steve and to everyone who helped us set up and pack up today. Also a huge thank you to our coffee van friends at Le Chariot De Cafe for providing another great round of caffeine fixes.
