parkrun 55 report

Bendigo parkrun Event number 55 23rd July 2016
After a blustery night the rain and wind backed off a little for our run. This week there were 66 runners, of whom 7 were first timers and 12 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 10 different athletics clubs took part. We had no unknown runners this week. That means that everyone had their barcode. WELL DONE. That is a fantastic achievement. We celebrated our first 50 runner this week, Jen Pollard. Jen celebrated the event by running in a red Tutu.
The female record is held by Teleah HAYES who ran in a time of 00:19:04 on 11th June 2016 (event number 49).
The male record is held by Andy BUCHANAN who ran in a time of 00:14:58 on 9th April 2016 (event number 40).
The Age Grade course record is held by David RICHES who recorded a 88.91% run (17:53) on 9th July 2016 (event number 53).
Male placings:
Paul BOXSHALL (VM35-39) of Bendigo YMCA Harriers, was first over the line in 17:51 - third time in 4 appearances.
Andrew SNELL (VM40-44) (Unattached) was second over the line in 18:40 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions.
Luke BROPHY (VM40-44) of Derek Zoolander Centre for Kids Who Can't Run Good, was third over the line in 19:34 - has been first to finish on 6 previous occasions.
Female placings:
Maree O'CONNOR (VW45-49) (Unattached) was first (17th overall) over the line in 25:38 - first time in 4 appearances.
Natalie JOHNSON (VW35-39) (Unattached) was second (20th overall) over the line in 26:56.
Tracy BARBER (VW40-44) (Unattached) was third (21st overall) over the line in 27:26.

The following runners recorded the best Age Grade scores:
Paul BOXSHALL (VM35-39) was graded 75.91% for the time 17:51 (first overall).
Andrew SNELL (VM40-44) was graded 73.13% for the time 18:40 (second overall).
Jason BEECROFT (VM40-44) was graded 70.81% for the time 19:52 (5th overall).
