50th parkrun

Congratulations to Andrew Warby, Linda Albertson and Sonya Sommerall who completed their 50th parkruns today!

Male placings:

  1. Kyle Bourke (VM35 - 39) was first over the line in 18:14
  2. Peter Heffernan (VM60-64) was second over the line in 22:00
  3. Eden Close (SM 20 - 24) was third over the line 22:10

Female placings:

  1. Danielle Williams (SW 30-34) was first over the line (4th overall) in 22:18
  2. Letitia Newman (VW45-49) was 2nd over the line (10th overall) in 24:26
  3. Sonya Summerell (VW50-54)  was third (124th overall) over the line in 24:20.

Age Graded Scores

The following runners recorded the highest age grade scores

  • Peter Heffernan (VM 55- 59) was graded 72.88% for his time of 22:00 (2nd overall)
  • Kyle Bourke (VM 35 - 39) was graded 72.76% for his time of 18:14 (1st overall)
  • Jo Wheatley (VW55-59) was graded 71.54% for her time of 26:00 minutes (13th overall, 4th female)

Unknown was first over the line in 19:55 - This mysterious man missed the start by a couple of minutes, but still powered to the front. We gather he was a visitor from the UK that forgot his barcode!
Peter John HEFFERNAN (VM55-59) (Unattached) was second over the line in 20:35
Steve SCRIVENS (VM35-39) (Unattached) was third (4th overall) over the line in 21:13.

Bega parkrun Event 64 – 26 November 2016

58 parkrunners took part in this mornings 64th event. With the weather warming up, it is important to remember to hydrate before and after parkrun. Also the UV risk was listed as high from 9am this morning, so a hat, sunscreen and sun glassed are becoming more important as we head into summer.

Cool foggy weather greeted the 80 parkrunners to Bega parkrun this morning. It was great to see a handful of tourists from Tuggernong, Adelaide and Albert Park in Melbourne.

Peter Heffernan (VM55-59) was first over the line in 20.27
John Carpenter (VM40-44) was second male and second overall in 21.41
Liam Kelly (JM11-14), was third over the line in 22.01.
