Aveley parkrun #52 – Happy Birthday

Aveley parkrun
Event number 52
5th July 2014

It was event 52, the birthday event,
The cake was organised, the invitations sent,
A dress-up was the order, super heroes were the idea,
Would we scare the kiddies with villains? Not a tear…

Batman was there, the Joker too, many a superman n’ super woman too
Dr Who was about, The Green Lantern too, Cat woman in that costume.. pheeew!
The Hulk smashed it up! But it has to be said, Dr Evil with mini me, deserves some cred.

So 33 PB’s were to be had, and we really don’t know how,
The course was not short, was it from Batman’s POW!
But the big news to tell, to come from the Dark Lord,
129 runners! A new attendance record!
From the Aveley parkrun team, we hope you enjoyed the day,
We hope to see you again and again to come and run your 5k
