Welcome to the Newsletter for Event #251!!! What hard work running was in the muggy conditions but still 185 people ran, jogged and walked the course this morning. 17 people chose to run with us at Shepparton for the first time, some as far away as Sale, Inverlock and Darwin. 11 fantastic people were also lucky enough to record new Personal Bests. We also had representatives from 5 different clubs taking part in our event this week.
This event was made possible by 15 volunteers. Many thanks go to:
Allan CONNOLLY • Justine RYAN • Lionel WATERSON • Robin PETIGREW • Carmel RYAN • Kate DAINTON • Jason HUNTER • Gerard MONTGOMERY • Kate MONTGOMERY • Michael WEST • Montana MONTGOMERY • Tammy DONOVAN • Michelle FRENKEL • Diana GIACOMELLI • Peter SEXTON
We also had our tourists out and about participating in Albert parkrun Melbourne (Christine Trevaskis) and Parkville parkrun this week. Here is a sneaky shot of our own Chris Banning cutting a fine time (sub 20 mins) at his first run at Parkville.
Carmel Ryan also celebrated her 100th parkrun today, she has run 24 times at Shepparton and 76 times at 41 different parkrun events. Since her first parkrun, she has had 6 PB’s and has reduced her time by 2 minutes and 49 seconds. Carmel has also been one fantastic volunteer. having helped us run events on 66 occasions. Congratulations on your run today, and thank you for the important contributions you have made to parkrun.
