Saturday week (14 July) is pacer week, so let us know if you’d like to request a pacer for a specific time, or if you’d like to be a pacer.

It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are – a pacer could be your key to a new PB.

If you want to be a pacer, choose a time that’s comfortable so you can encourage the runners around you who are trying for a PB.

Juniors

Well done to Zach W who joined the junior 10 club with a new PB, and to the other juniors who scored PBs: Eloise R and Bella R.

Also a reminder that scooters and bicycles are not permitted at parkrun, due to the safety risks to both children and parkrunners.

Visually impaired athletes and guides

To connect with the VI team join the Achilles Brisbane - athletes & guides connect facebook group. Each Wednesday, the call goes out to match VI athletes with guides for the following Saturday.

We’d love to see more visually impaired people and guide dogs join us.

Defibrillator

Please take some time to watch this video, as we’d like everyone to know where our defibrillator is kept and the basics of its use.

If you’d like more detailed information, check out this longer video or read the full users manual. You should also remind yourself of CPR.

The defib is stored in the blue plastic gear box between parkruns, and moved to the finish line for easy access once the run has started each week. It will stay there until the tail walker crosses the line.

You can still donate to help the other Australian parkrun events get their own defibrillators. Donations are tax deductible.
