Event #157 & #158 Christmas Eve & Christmas Day – 24th and 25th Dec 2016

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

What a great weekend it was even better that we could do TWO parkruns in one weekend. The festive spirit was well and truly in the air and plenty of Red and Green to celebrate.

Celebrate we did - Michelle Dipplesman completed her 100th parkrun on Saturday and Steve Scanlan also completed his 100th parkrun which was on Christmas Day.

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, standing, outdoor and natureImage may contain: 2 people, hat, tree and outdoor

It is wonderful that even on Christmas Day we had 225 runners share their Christmas morning with us at Minnippi. There were also plenty of tourists to help us celebrate including a very focal and happy bunch from Berrinba parkrun (tokens are NOT souvenirs - just saying).

Image may contain: 9 people, people smiling, people standing, tree, child, outdoor and nature

Remeber this coming weekend being New Years eve we are lucky enough to be running the usual time of 7am on Saturday and then again on Sunday 1st Jan 2017 at 7am and then you can complete the double (only day you can and it is ONLY a double option) with our friends at Capalaba or check out the listing here for other parkruns. However, please drive safely this is the most important thing, we want everyone safe!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
