As 2018 comes to a close, and we welcome 2019, Meadowbrook parkrun is pleased to advised that we will be running an additional event on New Years Day! What better way to welcome in the new year than with parkrun!? 6:30am on Tuesday 1st January, 2019! Note the extra early time. See you there!
Great news! We WILL be running an additional event on New Years Day!! And even better news, you can make it a double parkrun day!!
New Years Day is the only day of the year in which parkrun allows participants to run and scan their barcodes at two events on the one day!!
Start your year off the right way - run with our friends at Logan River parkrun at 6:30am, and then come and join us at Meadowbrook parkrun at 8am!
Hope to see you there
You may not be aware that there are 2 special days a year that parkrun can operate on another day of the week (Christmas and New Year's Days).
This year at Meadowbrook parkrun we will be running on New Year's Day in conjunction with Logan River parkrun (Sunday 1st January).
If you find yourself away from our wonderful parkrun, information on other parkruns you can visit are listed in the compendium at http://www.parkrun.com.au/christmas-compendium/
What this means for you is that you have the opportunity to do 2 parkruns on the same day and for both of these to be recorded for your parkrun total runs. What better way to start the New Year off than the Daily Double.
This is the program for New Year's Day
6:40am arrive at Logan River parkrun
(earlier if possible so you can write up your resolution on the board and have your photo taken with it for our album, also there are likely to be a number of parkrun tourists, so parking will fill up early)
6:55am Run Brief for Logan River parkrun
7:00am Logan River parkrun
8:20am arrive at Meadowbrook parkrun
8:25am Run Brief for Meadowbrook parkrun
8:30am Start Meadowbrook parkrun
We remind you that there is more than sufficient time between the events for people to commute to the next parkrun. We do ask you to commute in a safe and orderly manner to your destination.
Please remember to put this in your diary or set a reminders on your phone
