It was a good day to be Run Director as 123 people battled the humidity to run, jog and walk the course, of whom 10 were first timers and 15 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 13 different clubs took part.
The very sweaty condition resulted in some soggy un-scannable paper barcodes, at least the runner's number or name could still be read in most cases and their results processed.
One of the perks of being Run Director is you get to recognise the Lakeview milestones. Congratulations Pat on your 100th parkrun. Pat has volunteered ten times as well.
Fred was wary of taking the photographs but this one turned up on the camera. Great shutter work Fred. We know some of our "pocket rockets" fly around the course and this photo proves it.
Prams are always welcome at Lakeview, however some of us wonder how you can run up the hills with one little one on board let alone two.
