Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

Christmas Day and New Year's Day are the two days of the year when parkruns can be held on a day other than a Saturday.

This year Lake Joondalup parkrun will be hosting a Christmas Day parkrun at 8am for those of you who'd like to celebrate the festive season with a 5km run or walk with friends.

In addition to this, we are also hosting a New Year's Day parkrun at 9.30am on Tuesday 1st January 2019. New Year's Day is the only day on which parkrunners are able to do two parkruns. Our later than normal start time takes into consideration that Wanneroo parkrun are hosting an 8.00am parkrun on this day so it will be your first chance to run the parkruns on both sides of the lake on the same day! Please remember though that Lake Joondalup parkrun is a dog-free parkrun.

Christmas and New Year parkruns

Just a quick update to let you know that Lake Joondalup parkrun won't be running a Christmas or New Year event this year - you can see which events will be having an extra event here - remember that you can run two parkruns on January 1st, the only day of the year this is allowed :)

Christmas and New Year events

Hi all,

We won't be holding events on Christmas Day or New Years' day this season - our friends at Heirisson Island will be holding an event there on Christmas Day, and you can do the Pioneer / Canning River double on New Year's Day. For the last parkrunday before Christmas, we will be holding a fancy dress / bring a cake parkrun though! :)
