From the Run Director
It was a beautifully clear and cold morning; perfect conditions for parkrun!
Congratulations to the 151 of you that conquered our course. A special welcome to the first timers and tourists that came to visit us today. We had 12 tourists, including participants from Logan River, Shellharbour and Spain (WOW!), and 4 brand new parkrunners. Well done to you all!
The cool conditions made for some very quick times, as we usually see in Winter. Chris Merder was our first finisher in a very speedy time of 19.15 and Karen Tebbit was our first female finisher (10th overall) in a fantastic time of 22.45. We also had 19 people achieve new PBs. Great effort, everyone.
We presented our certificates for our June parkrunners of the month - congratulations Anita and Peter Cummings - and also welcomed Sharon Parker to the 50 club (see the photos below).
As always, a heartfelt thank-you to all our amazing volunteers. We truly appreciate all your efforts. If you haven't volunteered in a while, please consider adding your name to the volunteer roster; all of the roles are very easy to do and it's lots of fun.
For now, work duties call; therefore this morning's photos will be uploaded to our FB album later this afternoon / tonight. That's for your understanding in that regard.
I'll be handing the RD hat over to Alison next week, but look forward to parkrunning with you all again very soon.
Carmel - RD

This Week’s Photos
Every week our photos are uploaded into our Photo Album which is on our Cleveland parkrun Facebook page. Anyone can view them, even if they’re not a Facebook user.
We also have an album for our parkrun Milestone Club recipients.
Friendly reminder that we do not accept parkrun barcodes on phones or watches. Our scanner is not reliable on devices so your barcode must be PRINTED. Please do not ask the volunteers to write your details down so you can be added to the results, you will be politely told no.
If you need to reprint your barcode but can’t seem to find the link… please click here print your barcode. If you'd like to buy a key tag or wrist band, you can find them at www.bentlogic.com.au. Go to the Bent Logic website to order yours today and remember… No barcode = No result, No exceptions.
