From the Run Director
Thank you all for coming to parkrun this morning, we hope you enjoyed your walk, jog or run and the company of our wonderful parkrun community. Photos have been posted.
There were 10 volunteers, 204 parkrunners, 28 first timers, 7 PBs and 21 who forgot their barcodes or haven't registered with parkrun yet.
Our merry band of volunteers made it seem easy this morning , so thanks again to :
Lynne (Timekeeper), Liz (Funnel Manager), Peta & Dusty (Barcode Scanning), Roland & Bob (Marshals), Cathy (Photographer), Margaret (Tail Walker) and Liv who filled in at the last minute on Finish Tokens. We hope you feeling better Katherine and look forward to seeing you next week.
Our first finisher today was Marshall Bromwich with a time of 18:55 , Elle Brookes was our first female finisher in 24:04, Jacob Sands was our first junior male finisher in 22:12 and Lily Searston (as a first timer) was our first junior female finisher in 29:52.
Congratulations to Grace, Graeme, Reece (see photo below) and Will who all completed their 10th parkruns this morning. We also had a couple of our regular Cleveland parkrunners complete milestone runs whilst touristing recently. Congratulations to Christo Bence and Fiona Doherty (see photos below) who both became the newest members of the 50 club. Fantastic effort, everybody!
Happy 7th Birthday to Charlie, who celebrated with his first PB.
We would like to reminder parents and guardians that parkrunners, under the age of 11, must be within arms length of you at all times.
We were also concerned to see a number of parkrunners in distress at the finish line.
Your safety is of our utmost concern so we ask that you ensure that you keep our young parkrunners close and that (in these hot conditions) you don't push yourself too hard and stay hydrated.
Have great weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again next Saturday,
